Oh right. You've forgotten the most important aspect.

COD was published by Activision.

Bad Company 2 isnt.

COD releases a new game every year, you spend 60 bucks on it for a skin pack, shoddy mission pack and more than a hundred dollars for maps.

Bad Company 2 just released an expansion pack for 15 dollars, less weapons, but more fun. Map packs have been free, on the PC.

COD costs 60 bucks.

Bad Company 2? $30.

This i dislike
1 - Vehicles in game.
The apachee chopper and all the frigin tanks. The last thing
i want to expect is getting spwnkilled by some noobs on
the helicopter.

2 - No 1 man soldier spree
No killing spree. Everyone i kill someone, another dude is gonna backstab me from the back. And the map is so friggin big with full of campers, ill have to wait for 1 hour just to get 1 kill.

3 - No 1 hit KO with a sniper rifle
Enough said. This is boring.

Im switching to MW2.
In no way do comments like these ever seem to coincide with the opinions of new players who end up making a fool of themselves in the game, subsequently rage quit, then join public forums to say how its the programmers and other players fault that they failed hard.

Being someone with over 120 hrs in the game, I can safely say, the game doesn't suck..

However, its VERY VERY different than MW2/BO/CSS. In BC2, you need tactics, and team skills. I stopped playing because every time i get into a server, i get 5 mins in, then, "Connection to the server has been lost"... thx dice, back to BO..

@OP

Ultimately the reason you don't like BFBC2 (from my perspective) is that it isn't 'arcade' enough like MW2, it's predecessors or it's current flavor. To each his own, but I would recommend playing BC2 with friends and leveling to at least somewhere around 26 so you have most/all of the weapons/attachments/perks.

It's much more about you and up to three (or more if you have a large group of friends) hangin' in one squad helping each other out. It's way more fun that way...

Mmmm... No. HC SD and all the other modes still carry the same trash, SD probably even easier since there's no respawning. Camp, kill 1, he's out. FTR I own Black Ops and enjoyed it for a while but it wore out on me just as quickly as MW2 did.

I mostly raise them because claims of ultra realism in BC2 on these forums makes me laugh the minute I think of spawning on teammates!
I totally agree on the helicopter comment; sadly, those are just the imbecile players we have to deal with now and then. The only system that can be put in place to intervene with that issue is to have players instantly killed as a penalty for jumping out of a helicopter so soon after taking flight. That system wouldn't work very well, because what if you are in danger from lock-on rockets immediately after taking off? If you bail, you get slayed by the "anti-noob chopper bailer" system.

Every game has to have its elements that aren't realistic, else it wouldn't be a very enjoyable game. Do you prefer that you don't spawn at all? Die once, and you wait for the 32 player battle on Conquest or Rush to end? Because you know, being able to respawn at all after dying isn't very realistic. Being able to respawn at any base isn't any more realistic than respawning on your squad mates. That squad spawn feature is simply to encourage teamwork. It allows you to catch up to your squad because by the time you run or drive to them they're likely dead.

Ummm... the in-game voice chat works fine. BC2 has no commo-rose like BF2 had though, which I agree was a horrible fail idea on Dice's part.

If you play search and destroy on tactical servers you wouldnt be saying any of this nonsense.
Nah, I still do say all of that "nonsense." I play S&D the few times I do play COD and... guess what? Yea, everyone is just running around trying to kill each other, totally ignoring the bomb target. If you try to plant the bomb yourself, you'll more than likely be killed by someone camping the target. (Read my COD synopsis a few posts up, it still sums it up very well)

MW2 obviously does not fit this model though.. no dedicated servers. I think the whole COD franchise still has such a black eye with pc gamers for MW2.. myself.. I skipped it and when BO was annouced to return to the dedicated server model.. it was on!
Any game is what you make of it. I find WoW to be an absolute waste of time and money. Dedicated players somehow find it to be marvelous and play ONLY WoW, 20+ hours a day.

BC2 has larger maps for larger 32 player servers. Black Ops is... 9v9. That's it. That's the reason it doesn't have larger maps; it doesn't NEED any.

Again, voice chat works in BC2. I use it every time I play. My default key has always been left Alt, others claim the default key is B though I've never used B and never changed the key for it.

It's ALWAYS down to preference, but you can't deny that over 90% of the PC gaming community prefers BC2 over ANY COD. There's a reason for that. COD is no longer a PC-worthy title like it was back with COD1/COD2; we can thank the consolesque money-hungry views that changed COD for that.

Playing bad servers doesnt make this an across the board experience. Good admins will not tolerate lack of objective play from the planting team, or not attempting to defuse from the defending team. To suggest the 'camp all the time' scenario is just wrong, cmon.

I'm not suggesting removing respawning, to be accurate I didnt suggest any alternative. I only stated the claims of realism realism realism are beaten down by the truth.. it had it's "gameplay" concessions to realism for fun factor just like other games. If asking what system I'd prefer in place of BC2's current respawns.. the Day of Defeat model would work just much better. The spawns would move up as each section was cleared (speaking with regards to rush mode) and the "reinforcements would be smart to work together to get back to the front from there.. or die. Right? Teamwork is still just as important in Day of Defeat as it is in BC2 or BO. The spawning ON teammates just gets abused so badly. Hide in enemy spawn and endless spawn teammates behind enemy lines.. fail. Hell I'd even go with.. to use a hockey analogy here... an "offsides" type line.. then folks can have their spawn on teammates without being able to do it "offsides" (using the furthest to the middle objective as the "line") and stop the spawn abuse. Again this is also solveable by admin enforced server rules. Just like bunny hopping, camping, objective/tactical play, blind nades, and etc can be enforced in BO's to get a more tactical game.

Hrmm.. never worked for me in my 50 some odd hours of play. Nor anyone else in any squads. Believe me I tried.. it was a muted game in the voice comm respect. Maybe it's changed or maybe we all were doing it wrong back then. Would love to hear others comment on voice comms IN GAME for further opinion.

Camping the target and killing you when you try and plant? You mean defending.. right? Cmon, thats.. is not camping! Play on good servers and you wont have to hit the bomb site alone (BC, NC, Old Farts At War among others, I'm often found on BC or NC), just coordinate with teammates. Sure random passerby's will enter the server unfamiliar with the rules and just trying to kill and arcade mode it.. they quickly get corrected, adjust, or get gone. These two clans (BC and NC) have had a great community for 3 years now (that I know of, since their WaW servers).

Really hard to say much else considering what you defined as camping above. Kinda slants your whole arguments. Anyway.. good discussion. My real point of posting stemmed from all the folks blasting the OP saying he wanted an arcade game with no realism like COD instead of the total realism immersion that is BC2.. as those comments really are broad unfactual generalizations.

Take a little while to get used to it, but when you do its a lot better. COD hasn't changed much since MW1 and since I played that game to death whatever COD I play now I get bored of in a mater of minutes. Both are still fun I guess. I'm still sticking to 1.6 and Source though, nothing so far has made me move away from them.
