Degrade to 10.10e = idle 10 degree increase!

Thread Starter
Ok I degraded to 10.10e because I had screen jitter with 10.12. Now I am trying to overclock and I notice that on the AB Tempature graphs it says....

GPU1 temp: 44C

GPU2 Temp: 49C

What is happenieng? I noticed whne I had 10.12 that the idle tempatures were at least like 5 degrees to 10 degrees lower than this.......

It's because the card is no longer downclocking at idle.

correct me if I'm wrong one this one

Clocks along with the voltage is reduced to save power when in 2D mode

those cards reduce to idle clocks autimatically at stock speeds.

depending on your driver version, card version (read bios version) and overclock, the card, when overclocked, may or may not go back to those idle clocks that save power and make it cooler.

also, drivers have different idle clocks...

but don't worry or even bother looking at idle temps, their are not meant to be focused by any overclocked as stress temps are

Oh well how can I tell if they are being reduced or not when I am in 2D mode?

This is comical, people whined because cards don't downclock... which ati did to solve this flickering. 10.12 came out to answer peoples whine and start downclocking and now people are whining again. I realize single monitor owners want downclocking and multi monitor owners cant have it do that. But seriously people...
