3 programs, 3 different temps

I've recently OC'd my Q6600 to 3.4ghz @ 1.48v and of course I was checking temps as I was going up in volts. I'm on air, OCZ Vendetta II, and I get idle temps of just above ambient at 3.0ghz (no voltage increase) (24-28C) using core temp. When i bumped it up to 3.4, I was getting prime95 small FFT temps of 74C! I thought I should double check the temps, so I used Real Temp. Well, it shows max temps of 68C, thats a 6C difference. So I load up the trusty SpeedFan app, well it shows max temps of 64C!

Which one is correct? I used the calibration function of Real Temp and still ended up with the same temp. All TJmax settings are hopefully set correctly, I have the q6600 @ 95C.

Should I try Everest now too? lol.

Real temp is the most accurate IMO, It depends on TJmax though.

Ok well, Speedfan and Everest are the only 2 programs that share the exact same temps. They are also the 2 programs that list the COLDEST temps. RealTemp is 5C higher than those 2, and CoreTemp is 5C higher than RealTemp.

Realtemp should also give mins and max temps, imo coretemp is fairly poor on my netbook it states the cpu is 81c when realtemp and everest say its 59-61c.

I found out the problem. Everest and Speedfan use a TJMax of 90C, CoreTemp was using 100C and RealTemp was set at 95C. Once you set them all the same TJMax setting, they all read the temps identically.
