Alright, after a bit of playing around, I found out that it does not work!
I put the 4850 all by itself with a normal 6-pin power connection, it worked fine. Then, I tried using the x2 molex to 6-pin connector (with the 4850 by itself again), it didn't work; the screen is all messed up.
So, it looks like it doesn't work.
Why wouldn't it? I'm running the card by itself, so clearly there should be enough power.

Well, I mean Folding@Home. I didn't want to say that because every time I say I want to fold on the 4850 everybody goes totally off topic about how much it sucks at folding.
