Do you think this overclock will be stable

Thread Starter
My Specs are in my sig

Base Clock= 166
CPU Multiplier = 24
QPI Multi = 18
Uncore Multi = 20
Mem Multi = 9
Cpu Clock = 3.984GHZ
QPI Clock = 2988
Uncore Clock = 3486
Mem Clock = 1494

Also what voltage would be stable to run this at

I'm a bit of a novice at overclocking

Thanks,
Matthew

you will want to use an odd multiplier, they seem to like it better. voltages are unique to each chip, try just under 1.3v

Try 191x21 or 174x23. Those chips don't like even-numbered multipliers.

My 950 takes 1.25 to get perfectly stable at 4.0GHz. It takes about 1.33 for 4.2 ish. Good places to start.

Do you think my ram will be ok running it at 1494mhz instead of 1333mhz i have heared that mushkin ram is able to run faster than its rated for.

No, I doubt it. It also depends on what you have your timings set to as well. You need to first worry about getting your CPU stable, and then you can tweak your RAM if you'd like. If anything, set your RAM below what it's rated while you work on your chip.
