No need to upgrade to 560 , just wait until 670 (maybe next year? or 2?) 470 is enough to last for 2years.

Nvidia Kepler (600 series maybe?) should be out in 1 1/2 year or 2 yrs, which is like 2.7x faster then Fermi. i wouldn't upgrade to 500 series when Kepler soo close away.. no worth extra $ lol

Agreed. If they allowed tri sli with the 460, Nvidia would have lost money because nobody would buy a 480, 570, or 580. Everybody would just get 3 460s for only ~$100 more than a 580, and blow the 580 away. Money>Practicality.

Thread Starter
Well a 460 @850+ mhz can match a 470 @ stock (still the 470 gets better but the difference in sp is BIG 336 vs 448). At 900mhz the 460 is faster, I can go all the way to 970.
The point is 820mhz on a 384sp and better gpu architecture will definitly be = or more than 470. The only scenarios i see the 470 winning is the minimum fps (just like 480 vs 570) Due to extra memory, not bandwidth. As the new gf110 has better mem controller yielding higher mem oc. I think the 560 mem oc WILL be better than its 570/580 variants.
But hey thats just my 2 cents...

If half the money you supposedly spent on that P3 went to a new PSU, you wouldn't have this problem.

They're not even in the same class. It takes 2 5770's to even compete with a GTX470.

If you're looking to upgrade, a GTX460/470 or GTX560/570 is night and day difference to your 5770.
