So you want a small formfactor gaming computer that can serve as a hub for streaming media to your TV?

Will the computer be hooked up to the TV 24-7? What games do you want to play?

Alrighty, here's my 5 cents...
I am currently in the same situation as you, debating a mItx build capable of gaming+hd video playing.

My original built was the following:

Gigabyte GA-H55n-USB3
Intel i7 860 (for what you need this is overkill, an i3 or i5 will be plenty for your needs)
2x4gb Corsair XMS3 1333
Nvidia GTX 460 (210mm length will help with cases)

Biggest issue i've run into in my planning, is that I have yet to find a mITX case that is capable of decent cooling. Now, to me decent cooling involves a high end air cooler, or one of the plenty available All-in-one WC kits like the h50/70.
I finally decided on designing and building my own case, which is still in the CAD-drawing and planning stages.

Now for the cons of this:
even though the Gigabyte H55N is one of the best, if not the best mItx overclocker (thanks to them using an only slightly modified atx bios from the h55), it still will NOT hold up with a mAtx board in gaming. Ive seen reviewers speculating whether it is problems with the cpu or ram, or that the pciex16 slot isn't working up to spec, but more likely then not it can be blamed to the many sacrifices the makers have to make to shrink the board. If you can live with a ~5% performance cut, a build like this could be the thing for you, but make sure you can manage cooling, and space for the gpu in whatever case you decide on. More likely then not, you will have to invest in a pcie riser card, since an air cooler will interfere with your GPU, thanks to the cramped space.

Hope I was able to help, and best of luck to you!

pretty much all you are going to do is build a gaming computer and add a tv tuner card?
