Oh AMD - you have failed me for the last time!

Dear AMD,

I hate your single thread performance, please try harder. Please also note that six sub par threads isn't the answer. I was happy to hear that you were going with a new architecture this time around. I hope suing INTEL and obtaining financial gain and creative freedom has allowed you to bring something better as we need a competitive market to drive up advancement and drive down prices. Though you did not cost me an arm, nor a leg, I must say more is needed at the same price range. I look forward to future purchases of your products, however the K10 architecture should have died with the terrible Phenom and never to see light again.

Sincerely,
Sad Panda

You do realize that the difference form Phenom I to the Phenom II was a HUGE jump, i would say that they are making headway.

Oh noes, your getting owned at the benchmark game. You need to go Intel if you want to get a decent K/D ratio!

I lol'd. Granted I prefer Intel but I had a 1090t and a CH4, mine did 4.0 at 1.39 volts and it was awesome in gaming. Benchmarks mean nothing.

Getting owned by 70% gpu usage and a single core pegging 100% @ 4.4GHz. The problem is not as bad when games support multi-core, but I can't see it working out well with more gpu power or even SLI.

So long as I stay away from dated games like Crysis and don't try anything stupid like SLI I guess it should be ok. Lucky for us all 2011 should be a good year.

Ah, I'm sad for you. With PhysX off and my 1055T (w/ GTX260) @ 3.75/2680 and RAM @ 1430, I get 19250~ on CPU score in Vantage. Bummer on your clocks and score, IMHO.

But honestly, you should be enjoying some games instead of worry about vantage scores.

My 1055T works just fine. I like it.

I know, it's just depressing seeing a 30% bottleneck on the cpu considering how much I've invested into this

The saddest part is that my head is smashed up against the ceiling, this is it - as far as normal operating usage.

I have the original PII 955 as purchased on release day. I also had before that a PI 9950. I can tell you that performance between those about doubled for me. 70% cpu usage while playing a game? Maybe you should get rid of some viruses. While playing most games my cpu usage doesn't go above 50%. You may notice a difference in video encoding, but that 1095 isnt going to be bogged down in gaming unless your playing some poorly optimized port.

A 30% bottleneck? Really? This is vantage. Please. Why are you even concerned about synthetic benchmarks?
