Oh AMD - you have failed me for the last time! - Page 2

Thread Starter
There is a difference between 70% cpu usage, and 70% core usage.

Once a core is maxed out it doesn't dump load off onto another core, that is all it has, and as it maxes out 1 core out of 6, 5 of them are pretty much worthless at that point. What happens when a core hits 100% is the gpu usage goes down. That usage is what is called a bottleneck as the cpu is no longer able to keep up with the processing power of the gpu.

Granted this is a single threaded benchmark and plays into 0% of the Phenom II x6's strength, but it is kinda lame none the less. Obviously in a benchmark like Mafia II where it can use all 6 cores/threads it's not really a problem - at least not with one gpu.

So then why are you complaining about a synthetic benchmark? If this benchmark doesn't show anything close to the real world performance that chip would deliver it is completely useless.

cpu is bottlenecked BY YOUR SUBPAR 790 chipset. You need 890fx to unleash the true power my friend.

See no point in this discussion. Benchmark is just side-activity. Real world performance is the key, unless your gonna benchmark your whole life ^^

Wrong. CPU is being bottlenecked by the SINGLE THREADED application.

Go load up a real game, one that uses more than one core. Then come back crying .

Yup. Anyways, just to prove my point, I just ran vantage. Ran with only CPU test, and disabled PPU. My score is below. I dont see why you are complaining when your score nearly doubles my own. You have nothing to complain about...at all...
