Ouch. Anyways this is my next step.

In Short

Real World = GREAT!!!!

Benchmarks that use SFA cores (aka most of them) = Bad

which one do you have to live with every day when using your PC???

Also the $$$ factor is nice... it means you can spend money on something more important like a better Graphics card

What happens when a core hits 100% is the gpu usage goes down. That usage is what is called a bottleneck as the cpu is no longer able to keep up with the processing power of the gpu.

Granted this is a single threaded benchmark and plays into 0% of the Phenom II x6's strength, but it is kinda lame none the less. Obviously in a benchmark like Mafia II where it can use all 6 cores/threads it's not really a problem - at least not with one gpu.
thats called bad coding not your chip.... and if it maxes one core then its single threaded, again the program not the chip

Unless I go crt the next step up is 120hz cheapest I see on Newegg is $370 /w 2ms refresh

My cpu cost $215 and my gpu cost $190

I can't even do 120 average why would I need a $400 screen?

You're QQ'ing about an informed purchase you made and how it performs in an obviously biased benchmark? It's not like anyone didn't know that a Ph II wouldn't perform as high as a core i7. Just photoshop higher numbers into that score if it matters that much what the result says. Or you could waste money on an i7-980x if you care that the benchmark is all that much higher. Either way, you've got an awesome, strong CPU capable of handling anything you want to throw at it (well, minus 3dmark, lol), so I wouldn't sweat it.

Max out global Nvidia settings. That'll bring up the eye candy and lower the FPS.

Nothing can do 120fps average on the lastest games at 1080p+. (Except maybe a watercooled 980x with quad SLI GTX580's. Might wanna sell a kidney for that kind of setup.)

A tri-SLI GTX580 system with an i7 can't manage 120fps average on 3 of the games tested here

You know what I think? I think you're expecting too much from today's hardware.
