I look forward to future purchases of your products, however the K10 architecture should have died with the terrible Phenom and never to see light again.
The Phenom II X4 970 and X4 965 are still the best bang for the buck CPU-wise. It is the Phenom 6 Cores that are the joke. They have nearly identical core architecture, but run slower and since software doesn't use more than three, or at the most four cores, the additional cores are basically wasted. And the "Turbo" is just a dumb idea. The chip should run at the speed you paid for.
I seriously thought about upgrading my entire system around the Phenom 1090T, but all of the benchmarks I found pretty much demonstrated that it was superior to the Phenom II 965 in only one practical respect: making AMD more money. The only situation where it would beat the chip I've got (Phenom II 965, not Phenom 9750
) is in encoding movies.
