is my performance ok?

Thread Starter
hello,
i bought some used components, so i have a day or two to test is everything ok.

i ran mafia 2 with all settings maxed@1280x1024 (free ride, snowy day), and i got 30-60FPS (i wonder why it varies this much).

in GTAIV, with most settings on high@1280x1024, distances around 40%, i got 25-35FPS in city, and 50-70FPS in less crowded areas like airport.

i ran 3DMark vantage, all settings on high, anisotropic 16x, AA 8x, 1280x1024, and i got around 12100 for GPU and around 33000 for CPU.

my system:
Gigabyte GA-P35-S3G
Intel Q8300
4GB DDRII Kingston 800mHz
GTX460 1GB OC
WD Blue 640GB
Windows 7 Ultimate

please tell me is it performing OK?

thanks in advance!

whats the video card or am i blind today

As for performance, if you're happy with it, its good. Some people wont take anything less that 60fps at all times, others 35. If it looks good to you, then its good.

Looks about right to me.

If you overclock your CPU some more, you can get rid of that bottleneck at that low resolution.

thank you very much for your reply.

do you think 3.0gHz would be enough (because i doubt my P35 chipset would let me go further)?
