How To Achiever HIgher RPM On Cooler Fan?

Thread Starter
I have a Xiggy HDT-SD964 and its fan is rated to spin between 1200 and 2800RPM. I use Speedfan to control the RPM. If I manually set the fan to 100% I only show 1300RPM. How can I increase the RPM? Is this something I need to do with SpeedFan or set in BIOS?

I want to be able to vary my fan between 1300-2800RPM using SpeedFan. I am currently varying it between 700-1300RPM using SpeedFan.

I'm thinking that there is a PWM setting I need to change. Currently running SpeedFan 4.42.

Sounds like Speedfan screwed up. I would uninstall and redo everything just to make sure the program installed correctly and also to make sure you didn't forget anything when you were setting up the fan profile.

There are some fan ports that run at full speed. You just have to try some other fan ports.

Its plugged into the CPU fan socket. I can vary between 700 RPM to 1300 RPM but I believe it spins at 2800 RPM at its max. And that is what it should spin at if I'm not automating its RPM.

Use a 12volt connector and run it straight to your power supply. Or go and buy a nice fan controller and and that will solve it all.

plug the fan into an optional fan socket on the mobo, and then you should be able to set the fan speed in the BIOS.

I found the answer. I had to change the FAN1 mulitiplier to 2 from 1. This gave me the desired result. Thanks all for assisting.
