Hello.
I'd just like to say that I was completely disappointed by BC2 Vietnam.
I was expecting so much more of it.
One problem for me would be that you die a lot faster in normal more. Now it feels like BO with bullet drop.
The maps seem like the ware made in a rush ... all sort of weird places where you just can't walk through as if there was an invisible rock there and the graphics look like the first vietnam with HDR and a little more effects.
The whole gameplay feels wrong and nothing like the normal BC2 ... dunno, maybe its just me but it seriously let me down.
One thing that really made me mad was that sound of that fly always bugging you. With my headphones on it almost felt like it was on my ear .
Personally, I'm going back to normal BC2.
I feel like I've lost $15 but, c'est la vie.

Keep in mind this is my personal opinion of the game so please don't thread crap.

I've seen a lot of people really happy about it and liking it alot + it also scored pretty high on review sites.

What do you guys think? Whats your impression of it?

I like vietnam...

There could be a few more weapons, but i guess that wouldn't be very realistic.

One or two balanced maps. The rest are crap. On Hill 137 rush, you are basically running for your life if you are on the defend side.

yeah, I agree.
It would have been a little better if there ware at least 5 specific weapons per class instead of 3 ...

It needs some work but its really good fun sometimes. Biggest issue is the guns are just as accurate as normal BC2 but do a load more damage. Everyone just picks the M16 or the Uzi and spams it across the map killing everything incredibly easily. A few of the maps are badly designed too were you can get in and plant the charge before the defenders have even got near the M-COM's. The fly sounds can be turned off by turning the music volume to 0 I believe - I certainly don't have them anyway and my music is off. The huge issue though is switching between it and normal BC2, it forgets all your kits so you have to set them all up every time you go between BC2 and Vietnam and its driving me mad at the moment. I do like Vietnam, but I think I prefer normal BC2. Its nice to be able to go between them though as it does keep it fresh.

Except for the unbalanced maps, I love it. And even then, if my buddies and I get in a squad on the loosing team it's even more fun to troll the winning team. I do wish there were more weapons, or that you had to unlock them, but oh well.

I'm really satisfied with it. I hope they add some maps like Tet-Hue City, Cambodia, maybe Saigon, Da Nang. Maybe some more weapons from that era too. I'm sure they will add to it, its just a matter of time.

I like 'Nam more than the original game(BC2). It's basically Bad Company 2 prenurf, before they reduced the damage on most the weapons. This alone makes the pacing much faster and enjoyable to me. The new view/size of the weapons are a nice touch, I never liked how big the M16A2 was or how the sights took up most the screen.

It doesn't take that much of my screen.
I think its perfectly balanced ... well, except the SPAS which is indeed a bit large.

I guess it depends on what LCD you're using.
They don't look that big on my screen but on my buddy's 19 inch 4:3 they take quite a bit of his LCD's right side.

eyefinity makes the guns look small. XD

on that note, in Vietnam, there are much less eyefinity glitches than in regular BC2
