If i decide to invest the extra $50 in the gtx 570 vs 6950 do you think the price warrants the performance? I am looking primarily at asus for any of the 3 cards... 6870, 6950, gtx 570.

Do you believe a bottleneck will exist between my cpu and any of the 3 mentioned gpu's?

gtx570.

i plan on buying a new card to play a few games then sell it
e5400 cpu at arround 4Ghz, only 2mb cache

will a 6850 run games like far cry 2 , unreal tournament 3 and gta4 on 1080p and high settings?
or a less powerful card will do the same without being bottlenecked so much?

maybe nvidia is less bottlenecked?
thanks

It really just came down to the drivers for me. AMD can't write drivers to find their way outside of a cardboard box. I am not a fan boy of either nVidia or AMD (ATi). I just thought about it and every card I have ever owned has been an ATi. I am guilty of being a best bang for the buck fan boy. In this case I felt the $50 was worth the solid driver experience. biggrin.gif

That card begs to be OCed. Don't skimp on it. I don't fault you for the driver thing. Everyone has an individual experience with every manufacturer.
