I marked my support ticket as not urgent because while I couldn't change my password, neither could whomever was using my account.

However, when someone loses a Steam account to a hacker, do you think they're content sitting there waiting for a support ticket to be updated? Especially when I've seen the record go up to a week before a resolution. I've also seen people get their accounts back within a day, but Steam, for how large it is, SHOULD have a call centre. It's irresponsible to not.

No, they shouldn't. I mean, they should hire a few more people to do tickets and tech support or whatnot, but a call centre? Hell no. It would be a waste of money, and a bad business move.

It seems steam has a bunch of problems that would make a good business opportunity to create something like steam, but with better CS as well as other things people don't like about steam. hmm.

While a call center would be overkill, a freezing feature would be nice. ie, once you have validated your E-mail address, you can somehow use that to "disable" the account so that for the next week or so, purchases cannot be made from it, it can't receive gifts, and it cannot play on any VAC-secured servers (so that hackers can't use it to test a hack, then discard it) Or, in extreme mode, it cannot be signed-into at all until the account ownership is resolved.

Man, talking about this stuff makes me feel so nervous I may just go and change my password again. I have upwards of 260 steam games, and I feel like it's a big security risk having all that guarded by one password.
