it's like doubling up fans. it's pointless.
I've explained it's for redundancy if a pump fails.

Or are you referring to putting them in serial? I could separate them.. it would require more tubing and complexity.. but I need some explanation why. I'm a noob to water cooling. I'm noticing a disappointing trend on this forum with people giving answers without reason. I like reason.

Why you so worried about 1 pump failing on you?? I know me personally ive had a single pump in my system running 24/7 only thing that stops my pc from running is a power outage and its been a yr now its been running perfect. If your looking to overclock the chip and gpu or GPU's why not have gpu's on one loop and cpu on another. Thats what im working on with my rig 2 480 rad one for each

I use my personal computer for my full time job, and don't want to risk losing unsaved data or the inability to work while waiting for a new pump to be shipped and delivered. $50-75 extra for less headaches and peace of mind.

As for dual loops, I don't think I want to go there for my first loop. I'd like to see temperatures with one loop.. and down the road think about it.

@Velocd, have you considered a different case? I have the Cooler Master ATCS 840 and, it is huge! Perfect water cooling case. I'm going to assemble a custom loop after the holidays. This case is so massive, it swallows up anything in throw into it.
Take a look:

its to mount two d5 pumps next to each other in the one unit, it gives the added performance of an aftermarket top, but you can mount two d5 pumps in it, giving it redundency AND added pressure. it can be mounted in 5.25" bay if you wish or maybe you could mount it down by your psu? they also do a dual loop version
