Huh *** Sli increase less than 10% - Page 3

If you compare what you get on the Heaven Benchmark w/SLI enabled vs. SLI disabled, you should see that SLI gives you around +75% FPS. If the single card does 40, SLI should do around 70fps. The calculation involved being (70-40)/40 = .75 aka 75%

If the improvement (what we call 'SLI Scaling') is lower than +75%, then turn up the settings a bit higher (more AA, etc, which lowers FPS and hence decreases the possibility of the CPU being a limiting factor) and try it again.

Generally speaking Heaven has a reasonably low CPU dependency ... I think it starts kicking in around 80fps (avg) on my system. With your proc I'd not be terribly surprised if it's a little bit lower, maybe 70-ish.

I doubt you're running the same settings in the benchmark that they are in your screenshot. Well, I know you're not, because the graphs show the two tests they're running are at 1680x1050 and 1920x1200, whereas you're at 1080p.

If your going to compare with posted benchmarks, you have to determine the exact settings they used, and match them.

You should be able to slightly beat a 295 w/your 275's in SLI ... try 1680x1050 and make sure the other settings match if you can. The problem with comparing to published benchies is that they often don't tell you all the settings details. Plus if you don't have a powerful a CPU, there is that possibility that CPU is impacting your score. Like I say, Heaven isn't very CPU-dependent generally, but a CPU BN can start to kick in around 80fps on my rig.

Pritty much spot on yes i ran both tests again on heaven and found there was a massive 75-80% difference between the single card and Sli Which is very reasuring and also totaly confirms what you said previously

I will try to find their exact settings and match them so i can get a fair comparison i have read on several sites that like you say a 275sli should be able to just peg a 295 but again like you say they maybe only with a more high end cpu

Edit: cant seem to find their settings anyware would be nice to be able to find a known bench mark with known settings that i can run a comparison on

I looked for old bench runs on my system from back when I had a GTX295, but the ones I could find were all at 1920x1200.

If you really wanna compare with others, 3dMark Vantage is probably the best thing to use, since everything is standardized with it. There's the huge DB of scores at the ORB website you can compare to, plus people around here are very well versed in what different setups are supposed to score, esp. when it comes to running it in the default 'Performance' mode. For example, just offhand, I know that stock SLI 275's should score in the range of 21K for their GPU score in Vantage Performance test

What did you get at 1920x1200 an can you recall the rest of the settings?

Sure ...

From Left to Right, this is 5870, GTX295, and 5850's in SLI. All OC'd to their max clocks, which on my 295 was (l believe) 713/1512/1242.

Damn it , I cant run 1920x1200 Its to High for HDMI so i tried hooking in direct on the old fasioned VGA port an i still cant get there , I guess this is the down side to useing a flatscreen TV as monitor

Unfortunatly the max i can get to is 1920x1080 which is a real

Maybe someone here can Estimate what it would be at 1920x1200 Iv matched every other setting just a real bummer i cant get the last perameter
