Hey guys in a bit of a puzzle here. I can't decide if I should get the Driving Force GT or the G27.

Driving Force GT~$120
G27~$300+

Is it REALLY worth it? I've recently got the driving itch and need something because keyboards with driving games isn't really cutting it.

I would like to know which one would be a better choice to get. Thank you for your help!

Oh right. I play Grid/Shift/Hot Pursuit/more if anyone wants to recommend any.

I have tried both and I ended up buying the driving force pro. It was on sale on Amazon for $100 and I couldn't justify triple the price for the G27. All in all I don't regret it. The $200 you save can go toward something else like more/better graphics cards or a bigger/better monitor. (I'm not saying yours are bad just that you have extra $$$)

I own the Driving Force GT and unless driving games / sims are the only games you play there's not much of a point to get the G27 it's much more expensive and the GT is very solid.

Start with the DF GT

Here is why:

when I got my G25 for $340+, I never used the clutch pedal. Thats pretty much the only advantage to the more expensive one. I wish I saved the money and went to the cheaper wheels

Really though, look at the whole setup - are you gonna use the features of the G27 or you just want a wheel and pedal for smooth driving? My guess is the latter

No...The clutch pedal is just one of the improved features. I never use the clutch either but there's no way I'd ever consider a DFGT.

You get H pattern shifter, better and quieter FFB, higher quality construction, and, the most important thing; better quality pedals. The pedals on the DFGT are terrible.

While I can't comment on quality, both products feature an H-pattern shifter...

If there is really that big of a difference then I guess get the better G27. I have a G25 and its amazing biggrin.gif

The DFGT shifter is not an H pattern, its sequential.

That's so overpriced it isn't even funny. You can get a Fanatec Porsche 911 GT2 wheel for $499 which will blow it away. $599 doesn't even get you a load cell brake with the thrustmaster and I've owned some controllers and a joystick made by them and they were just junk.

Will be interesting to see if this product bucks that trend.
