NZXT Phantom Question

Is it possible to use Xigmatek's CLF-F2004 as a top fan on the phantom or does it have to be NZXT proprietary? Reason I'm asking is, I'm getting the white case, and I'd like to have a white light emanating from the top rather than the stock blue color. Also the DBA rating on the Xigmateks are much lower than the NZXT's.

I believe the phantom has a 192 mm top fan. But don't quote me on that. I also am getting the phantom. But mine is getting a rad in the top.

Crazy thought: since its 200mm, meaning anything less than that can obviously fit. What about outfitting with 2 silverstone air-penetrators (ap181) or perhaps even 3 if they can fit?

you should be fine.. both are 200mm. post pics after you do it.

The stock 200mm fans are not 200mm. They are 192mm. Also tried putting in Cooler master 200mm fans because they have LED's and they do not fit. Now i'm out 50 bucks because 200mm fans are not cheap and NZXT stated that their fans are 200mm. Another thing, I went to go look for the stock 200mm fans with the blue LED, and cannot find any.
Taken from the NZXT forums. Never mind, sorry.

Can someone answer me though about the ap181's?

I just ordered a phantom and a xspc 720 rs240 today! ... do you know if there are size issues with the stock fans (i remember someone saying they had to get slim fans to make it fit) and how did you plan on setting up a push pull?

Looks like the Xig's will work if you find a way to mount them. Doesn't look like he's using the stock holes. Maybe 2-side adhesive?

The 200mm fan won't fit. I tried fitting a coolermaster 200mm in it and the fan housing is 2cm too big.

In my personal experience only NZXT fans will fit.
