I have a few but none from that batch the closest I have is 1021 CPAW and 1035.

It matters because some batches are known to be better OC'ers than others... the batch # will be on the cpu itself.

I don't know how to break it to you guys, but for the most part the batch correlation is only one small part of it. Processors are like snowflakes. The batch might be impacted if they ran the fab hot or cold that day, but for the most part you can get very good overclocking out of hot batches and low overclocking out of cold batches.

It comes down the the actual part.

its more the date (1025CPMW= 2010, 25th week, CPMW identifies day of week the wafer is from) and the Die number from the wafer (the number directly below the date, usually a few zero's then a number from 1 to roughly 1100) lower the die number the better it is because it means it is closer to the center of the wafer, and there is generally a 'cherry' week for any CPU, for Thuban I believe it is week 15 of 2010, and week 10 of 2009 for Deneb
