two worlds 2

I've been playing two worlds 2 for about 16 hours now and i must say the game is superb. the graphics are very nice and very smooth. the game play is nice and has a lot of depth lots of customization options and u can make your own spells. the story is interesting although generic for an RPG. and most importantly the atmosphere is very immersive which is the most important thing for an RPG. On the flip side the game is very very buggy for me, it crashes to the desktop alot and there are random clipping issues and texture issues.

but all in all superb. better than FO:NV, ME2 and possibly even better DA:O

those who have played this already please share your thought about this game in this thread

It is probably the best rpg I have played this year. I intend to buy it once it comes out here in NA. It also has multiplayer which most other rpg's tend to lack so that is a plus as well.

I have yet to get a CTD or any bug for that matter, at least not that I know of.

I am in a few hours so far and the combat failed to impress me , i do not understand why this game first of all needs a targeting lock for every attack or why the game lacks keyboard shortcuts that most other RPGs have , instead i have to waste an actual hotkey slot for maps , quest logs and an assortment of weapons that is difficult to fumble through your inventory for because the fact that a big UI for your inventory does not actually equal practical functionality(neither can you change this in the options).

Combat at this point is just a left-click affair that is less intuitive than the new gothic game sprinkled with the special cinematic finishers which fails to work most of the time at melee.

Horseback riding is such a chore , you may say that clicking the RMB may seem to add to immersion but the game totally breaks that into two without any real way to STOP your horse without waiting for that meter to run out.

The upsides are probably what OP said and probably the ability to really go anywhere , i have yet to find a path or area which is blocked by invisible walls that do not allow you to continue aside from the forced tutorial which doesn't even make any sense pertaining to HOW you got into a dungeon full of skeletons considering there is a WALL from which the way you came.

map is F6 quest log is F7

UI is fine it takes a little time getting used to.

i got used to the combat very quickly, u need to use 1,2,3 effectively. a little less intuitive than gothic 4, that i agree. i gave up on gothic 4 at the first castle town on the second island. it didn't impress me at all.

clipping issues were mostly about enemies getting stuck out of no where.

It's a great RPG so far (still in chapter 1), but the dialogues are a bit boring. Graphics are great and runs smooth. Definitely a great game, but I wouldn't say it's better than Dragon Age or ME 2 though.

Two Worlds 2 is passable. I like the customization, soundtrack and storyline but the magic and combat just aren't doing it for me. The last awesome RPG was Risen. Gothic 4 is a joke.

I've been playing it for a few hours too. It's a good game but comparing it to gems like ME2 or DAO is ridiculous. No offense.
