First off, there are alot of SSDs that are faster than 133MB/s read..like uh more than double faster..and some that are faster than 125MB/s write as well.
Second..no one gives a **** about sequential..for some reason you don't understand that. OS drives rarely use those functions..they do however use functions that deal will smaller amounts of data. And SSDs acces times are .01 ms and HDDs are..at the LEAST..say 8.0 ms. You are not mentioning how hdd maybe can reach 200 IOPS and most SSDs now reach 40-60+ THOUSAND.
I don't know why you think you know it all, but you don't. If you would just listen and read maybe you will learn. I promise you that SSD are WAYYYYYY faster. Really, bet me..
actually my new c300 does 80+!!
))))) P.S.....just got refunded from newegg on the overpayment. So I got mine for $119.99 too, and they refunded my shipping lol. totaled out to a $50 dollar refund. 4k~89mb max, 79mb min, 86mb avg, 0.1 seek, 165 burst. Oh yea, 1.5 second shutdowns, 13 second start up's FROM PUSHING THE POWER BUTTON, yes that's bios screens included. 1.5 second restarts.
@maetherous, or whatever your name is, You DO REALIZE that 95% of windows 7 is READS right? Hence the fact that I bought an ssd FOR OS AND THE ONE GAME I PLAY, and I have a 1tb short stroked Seagate for EVERYTHING ELSE. Which I might add is faster than your spinpoint lol.Edited by Jonesey I7 - 12/23/10 at 6:57am
