Finishing My Build

Thread Starter
I been ordering parts and reading reviews for the past month now. This will be my first build and wanna get it right. I have installed all my parts into my corsair 800D case but am not too sure where all my connections go. I have a SeaSonic 750W 80 plus gold PSU and Asus Rampage III motherboard. It'll be great if someone can link me to a video to help me with the connections for my components as I don't want to screw this up.

Nah, you don't need a video.

Let's do this one connection at a time. What haven't you connected yet?

I haven't connected anything yet, I just mounted all my parts, HDD, SSD, CPU, Video card, Motherboard, Memory, Bluray writer and PSU. Now I need to plug the wires I'll be needing to my PSU and connect everything.

I recommend beginning with the cables that are very obvious to you. Some will be obvious, and others will NOT be (so this is a fair warning to be careful hehe). If you see any that are obvious, then plug them in. When you find ones that aren't obvious, then ask about them. But you'll be surprised because once you dive into this, you'll find that it's a little bit easier than it seems right now.

...and you can't plug anything in where it doesn't belong, the plugs are made so they won't let you. The only thing that tripped me up on my first build was that the 8 pin to the motherboard looked really similar to the 8 pin to the GPU, so I spent a few minutes trying to fit one of them into the wrong socket until I realised.

That's two 30-minute videos that basically do what I am ready to do in about 5 minutes.

But a video is far more entertaining than I am.
