Isn't the K series i7 2600 only like 15-20 bucks more? Why not just go for that?

Unless you really need HT and the extra cache, the 2500K is the way to go.

I'll be picking one as soon as they become available.

OK, I see lots of answers there, and i want to thank you for your time.
First of all. Here in Greece the things are soooo screwed up that, if, for example, a cpu comes out @ 300$ (That's the price manufacturer suggests), here in Greece, all the shops not only will not cost them @ real price 300$ * Dollar / Euro Ratio = about 230 Euros, but hopefully at 300 Euros or EVEN MORE.
So, i'm thinking of i5 2500K for now, and, we will again see when those CPUs come out, and their prices. If 2600K is only 20-30 Euros more expensive, then i'll go for that. We'll see.
And please when you answer the poll, or post your choice, please explain why, so i can know all the advantages and disadvantages of every one of the options.

If you want one on the cheap you could pay me and i'll mail you one over. Not sure how cost effective that would be.
