Samsung Fascinate Manufacturer's Warranty

I made a thread a few days ago about trading my Droid X and $40 for a white Samsung Fascinate. I'm very much wanting to go through with the deal, but unsure about warranty issues. The owner claims the phone is NIB and has a one year manufacturer's warranty that is exchangeable at Best Buy (only place that sells the white Fascinate for Verizon I think). If it messes up within a year, just take it in and swap it out.

I'm wondering if this actually exists (or any warranty for that matter). Due to my work, I require a phone 24/7 that has broadband access, so if my phone were to have an issue, I would need to get it resolved quickly. If this means a backup phone additionally, I may be able to arrange an older Blackberry or something of the sort.

Most electronic device's have at least a one year warranty.Yes your Fascinate will have a 1 year warranty but it would start from the original purchase date, which can't be to long ago.It will only cover MFG defect's and not damage. You should get insurance for it as pricey as these new phone's are.

Unfortunately I'd be getting it used, so insurance via Verizon would not be possible. I have looke into the insurace provider of eBay and am trying to work something out there.
