I'll allow your opinion, but I hope you realize the reason for removing prone was to make camping more difficult for people. Someone laying down in the bushes is generally very difficult to spot, AND is not doing anything useful for his team.

(Not responding rudely to you, just pointing this out)

Yea, because without prone, people are doing so awesome with teamwork at the moment. "Gotta run around deathmatching killing off the enemies for my team!"

And why do you think Bad Company 2's sold better than any other Battlefield title WITH prone to date?

you can dumb fire the AT4 by firing and then swapping to a different weapon before you start moving.

magnum ammo is a flat 25% increase in damage. It raises your max damage and min damages by 25%.

Body armor has better value. Weapon damages are set at odd values because it minimizes the effect of magnum ammo to unbalance, generally magnum increases your Bullets to kill be 1 bullet.

If your gun does 16.7 damage per bullet. it takes 6 bullets to kill. Magnum takes 5 bullets to kill.

Now if the guy is wearing body armor. he has 125 health. he takes 8 regular bullets to kill, and 6 magnum bullets.

In a regular fight, the guy with body armor has a way better chance to kill someone not using body armor or magnum. If it uses magnum it equals each other out in this case.

i always take body armor, it has allowed me to survive so many events that kill everyone else around me.

I doubt that. At least not for the PC version alone. The hardware demand alone that BC2 has really restricted its sales numbers.

Battlefield 2 sold 2.2 million copies as of July 2006.
Battlefield 1942 sold 3 million copies as of March 2004.

Bad Company 2 has sold ("almost") 6 million copies worldwide, across all 3 platforms.

The way I see it, Prone position takes away the element of a fast paced game, it becomes a campfest with high power rifles and or whatnot is your butter of choice.

It takes away the fun in a game. That's what Bad Company 2 has, until you're heavily stacked against an opposite side full of people better than your side.

Sure, the tendency to camp is still there, but it's lessened, teaching the player to move about more, wriggling across the map always due to the fact that a tank might blast through a wall you thought was protecting you one moment.

For me, I do not think Bad Company 2 would have flourished as much with prone position enabled. You'd have everyone in guillie suits with rifles hiding out in the bush and picking each other off.
