Bioshock games: shall I buy any?

Thread Starter
The problem is, I have a friend who played both of them, but couldn't finish any because the game got to his nerves.

The problem he described and what I found on google is that the game has serious issues with the controlls, to be exact, with the mouse

Does bioshock 1 and biosock 2 still suffer from this issue?
Is there a simple way to get around this problem, which will also fix it with glory, not workaround that seems to introduce even more problems?

Is there anything else I should know before buying any of these games?

I never experienced issues with controls in bioshock 1 Never tried bioshock 2 though so can't comment.

As soon as you ignore the Aim Downsight control and don't use it (aiming is useless in the game), the controls are fine, but if you must be able to Aim on the mouse, you may have a little bit of an issue.

However, the game itself is just so amazing that I was and still am able to look past any control issue to play it!

Bioshock 2, they dumbed it down (only very very slightly, nothing too noticeable). The main issue with the second one is that it was too similar to the first and it felt incredibly more linear even though it really wasn't. It was still a very enjoyable game, nonetheless.

I used 360 controller w/ Bioshock 1--worked out really nicely.
