low mflops using linX i7 970, any idea???

i think its the software not optimized for 6 core.(i tried linX 0.6.4 and its the same)

here is the link to stability thread post:
http://www.overclock.net/intel-cpus/...l#post11735394

the i7 980x does around 90 Gflops?
It can do around 90Gflops with HT turned off, 50 - 60Gflops is pretty normal for HT on.
Linpack is kinda weird with 6 core/12 thread cpus.

What is your memory running at? if it's at 1066 or 1333 that may be the reason for sub-50 Gflops, I think most are running memory at ~1600+ Mhz in the stability screenies.

Lol. And you'd think HT would increase Gflops...

Have you tried updating the Linpack libraries?

If not, here is LinX with the latest libraries included.

I'm running ram 1600 and uclk 3200

I think its the libraries, I'll try it out tonight.

in other benchmarks its doing like the other i7 GT. so it must be that.

So what exactly gflops effect?

Something MUST be unstable my Q9550 gets 45 GFLOPS at 3400 Mhz and 54 GFLOPS at 3966 Mhz.
Now I do use 1600 Mhz 7-7-7-21 memory... I know that has a lot to do with it but I still get ~52 GFLOPS when using a lower memory divider CPU @ 4048 RAM @ 1270 7-7-7-21 so I still don't see that causing such terrible performance....

I've been able to pass 30+ runs of LinX even when I'm unstable but I'll get like 38 - 40 GFLOPS.... but it will pass EVERY SINGLE TIME.... I don't know why it does that.... but it will always fail prime95 eventually sometimes not until 9+ hours....

EDIT: Missed the post about the libraries.... that might just be it....

with updated libraries and HT:

with updated libraries but without HT:

and yes it was the libraries, don'T know why HT sucks like that at Gflops

Where can I get the latest libraries for linpack? That link seems to be dead. My i7 930 only manages 51Gflops with HT on @ 4GHZ
