I won't. If it comes with less then 64 player multi, it can languish on the store shelves until BF4. Why reward incompetence?

I remember with BF2, it was so promising, so early in its development, that everyone knew six months ahead it was going to be a revolutionary FPS game.

I don't see this happening for this title, if they had something special in the pipe, we would know it by now.

So you just want BF3 eh? BF3 is just a brand. When people talk about BF3 they talk about a successor to BF2. So it should have minimum all it's features then some. Saying you don't care about prone or other features that make a true PC BF, then you wound't mind having them make BC3 and then calling it BF3. Like you said all you want is BF3.

prone or not i want battlefield 3.

That means i want jets, huge maps, 64 or more players, larger squads, more classes.

Ill keep the gunplay from bc2 over bf2 and bf2142 though. Its much better balanced. The deviation on guns in bf2 and bf2142 meant that your first shot would not always hit because they had a standard deviation. In bc2 all guns are perfectly accurate on the first shot, so you will hit, then the deviation takes effect.

Also, ill take the destructable terrain over static maps of bf2, it just changes the entire dynamic of combat with an ever changing and evolving battlefield.

prone, i can do without. It was more often annoying in bf2 and 2142 than not. Dolphin diving at close range just pisses me off, and the complexity of the environment in bc2 compared to bf2 and 2142 means that prone could be used to break combat at medium and long ranges constantly. get shot 1 time and just hit prone, more than likely with all the different features of terrain you just broke LOS and can now heal up and kill him, or he will simply prone and get of combat with you. Sounds like fun.

Prone is nothing but a get out of trouble free card. Its a crutch that terrible players use and apparently need according to alot of players here. BF2 and 2142 were never about prone, they were about squad based combat, having some jackwagons proning in the middle of some rubble taking pot shots all game isnt what the game is about. It was about taking a jeep and dodging tanks and jets and choppers on your way to an objective, and making it and taking out the guys who were defending it, over coming what seemed like impossible odds at the time. Prone has nothing to do with that, other than what should have been a kill for you turned into a death because that jackwagon proned because you hit him once, or when you rounded the corner the guy dolphin dove and killed you.

People dont look back at the battlefield series and remember. Man it was so awesome when i proned. It is not and never will be the defining feature of the series.

First of all dolphin diving is the result of bad physics and bad coding. It can be implemented property/realistically.

All that stuff you mentioned is what battlefield is about but that part about prone being a crutch and people "proning out of it". Makes no sense. When someone shoots at you in combat, you take cover. If there is no cover you prone. You prone into that crater and just when the guy forgot about you, you pop up and shoot him. If anything prone makes the combat more realistic. Which is good.
