Hey guys, I got some gift cards and I want a wireless mouse.

What do you guys recommend out of these 2 and why? The reason I like the logitech is because it uses a tiny receiver that you cant see. With the mamba, you need to have the dock on your desk

performance wise, which is better?

I palm grip by the way, and either will be used on a razer destructor pad

games I play are WOW, dragon age, mass effect, portal, first person shooters (rarely), etc

Thanks guys

I've always like the mamba. It looks way better. Reviews I've read say it performs very well (..and here). I like how it can be used corded and wireless. It is pricey, but if I had the money just now it would be the one for me.

I have the Mamba. I like it, and used it for playing WoW for quite a while. That being said, I eventually replaced it with a G500. The battery on the mamba just didn't last long enough for me (since I work and play from this machine, and so I'd be using the mouse virtually all day). Furthermore, the squeaky wheel and z-axis issues were frustrating, and it eventually got to the point where it would do some funky tracking where the mouse would just suddenly jump to another part of the screen entirely.

All of that, and I found that I really missed left/right scrolling, and I wasn't super fond of the shape compared to the G500.

That being said, it was still a really nice mouse - it looked really cool as well, and the wired/wireless options were nice. I'm just happier with the G500 myself.

I haven't used the G700, but based on the mouse wheel I would be more inclined to go with it over the Mamba at this point.

Just bought a G700, like it alot, wired or not. Feels really comfy. Need to ajust wheel though, can't seem to change weapons well in bfbc2. Never tried mamba.

I have a G500, and I like it a lot better than when I used a Deathadder.

G500 is a much more natural shape, and the scroll whell works better.

I know niether of those are the 2 you are looking at, but they are kinda similar.

Edit: ans I like the Logitech drivers much better than Razers

good choice,

ive tried both and ended up sticking with the mamba. i found the pinky grip/rest fatigued my hand faster with the G700 than the mamba under 8 hour gaming session. but the functionality cannot be beat with the low profile usb dongle and carrier mechanism. plus the g700 will last longer on the niMH battery as opposed to the mamba.
