Out of those two, the first by far... but do you care to tell us what that monster rig is that needs 1000W?

just want to future proof myself for next time i upgrade again, as you can see my rig still use my old sunbeam 780w psu from my other build that was 3yrs ago and now it's not getting the job done! can't overclock in crossfire mode and play games! it will shut off and i need to click the reset switch on the back of the psu to start up again!

The reason why you're having problems is not because 780W is insufficient, it's just because it's a Sunbeam... most likely you really have a 400W unit, if that. Your two 6850s would run fine on a good 550W unit.

I think if you got a good 650-750W you'd be covered for a long, long time, but be my guest if you want a 1000W unit.

Actually there's nothing wrong with ABS, it just depends on the OEM they use. Until recently they had the SL 1050W unit which was an Enermax Revolution85+ 1050W, arguably the best 1000W unit on the market. The current units they still have aren't horrible either.
