Best attachment for a drill to cut case fan grill

Thread Starter
Is there an attachment I can get for my power drill that will allow me to cut off the rear 120mm fan grill efficiently? I want more air flow through my H50.

I would prefer not to purchase a new power tool like reciprocating saw.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I believe it's a 4" diameter hole saw attachment like this one below...

If you are going to use a hole saw, remember to use a block of wood or similar as a backing.

The first fan-mesh hole I cleared I used some tin snips and a half-round bastard file. It's an option nearly as fast and less expensive, even if you have to buy all the snips. You'll want the file anyway. 4 1/2" hole saws are nearly $40 here plus the chuck.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I will check out the snip & file that Aardobard suggested as it cost less.

Reps to all.
