HALP! Need 1080p Gaming Monitor $200-$300 range - Page 4

My current monitor is only 1600x900 VGA only. I want my monitor for gaming FPS and all all around. Do you think there will be a huge difference? in image quality?

If you come from a TN 1600x900, the image quality increase will be amazing.

You will not regret this purchase. ESPECIALLY for $229. If we ever had IPS panels in finland they would cost twice as much...

i've got 3 asus vh246's and they look great. don't let anyone fool you with all the dynamic contrast ratio gimmick. But if you can get a decent IPS monitor, then I'd recommend that too.

I've currently got two, but I just ordered my third along with a triple monitor stand for some nice eyefinity action (i'm nvidia, but eyefinity is more catchy than 2d surround or whatever nvidia calls it).

They are great monitors. Component inputs, line in, hdmi, dvi. 2ms response, 1920x1200. You can't really go wrong.
Thanks, I'll be looking into this one Maybe some day in the near future the price will drop $40 or $50...

But ultrasharps sure are beatiful, and if you live in the USA, cheap. In finland, the cheapest garbage 1080p panels cost 240€, keeping in mind that the euro is more valuable than the dollar
Awwww... De-Zant does want to help me find a new monitor! Thanks for talking me into creating this thread!

Everyone has been so helpful!
