Guitar Hero or Rock Band 3?

Buying my son either GH or RB3, not sure which one. Leaning towards GH because you can still buy the bundle for it. Rock band 3 is all sold individually. We have one of the rock bands on PS2 but he wants it for the 360. Him, his sister and me (dad) tend to play it alot. Can both or neither have a second guitar (bass or whatever) Which do you all recommend?

Assuming warriors of rock is latest GH? Also, anyone know how much it cost to download new songs for GH or RB3?

Me and my wife have a much better time playing Rock Band. The gameplay really is that much better.

If you can still find a RB2 bundle grab it.

Guitar hero just isn't as refined, and we usually like the song selection better on rock band.

I can't lie though, we play Rock Band 1, 2, and 3, Guitar Hero 5 and World Tour, and Band Hero on 360. We like them all.

Guitar Hero has much better songs and gameplay then RB.

In my experience, guitar hero had the most accurate and challenging notes.

Rockband seemed very watered down for the guitar, and not hard even on the hardest difficulty. (In my experience.)

I have the new Guitar Hero with the Guitar Bundle and I think it's awesome. I played RB3 and it I didn't like it too much, then again I started out with Guitar Hero. Guitar Hero can still do multiple guitars/basses/drums/vocals; RB3 still hasn't figured that out if that is something you want to look at. The setlist for Guitar Hero is better in my opinion as well, then again I like heavy metal so seeing all those songs on there was awesome! RB3 doesn't have a great setllist on its own but adding in the DLC it can be good (albeit expensive).

I haven't played any of the newest ones (GH4 and RB1), but IIRC rock band's guitar is significantly easier than Guitar Hero, so if you want a more challenging game, you might try Guitar Hero. Really, the biggest thing is probably which songs you prefer.
