GA-890FXA-UD5 PCI lanes

I'm considering buying that bad boy probably right after christmas (boxing day FTW!!!!), and I have one question that I would like to get answered.

When (if?) I buy this board, I'm buying it with 2x 6850's. those two will be stuck in the 2 x16 lanes. but i also have both a gts 450 and 250 lying around. will i be able to stick both the 6850's and either one of the gts's in there?
I really want the physx support (i've been an intel/nvidia hard core fanboi for a while now), as well the cuda support for lot of my video encoders.

basically, what i'm buying is this bundle: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ComboBu...t=Combo.568962

also, will 750w be enough for 2 6850's and a gts 250/450?

Looking good, try get some better RAM, 1333 is a bit shoddy

Maybe swap the RAM in your system now for the ram you get from newegg if you can.

I'm pretty sure you can... I've seen:heard people in forums saying that they run an ati card for the graphics and a nvidia for the phsyx... Just not sure how that would work in a crossfire environment

you can run the ATIs + Nvidia at 16x8x8, as far as the revision goes 2.0 or 2.1 either will do 2000mhz mem. 750 might be pushing it try for 850 and you should be safe. trust me, been there done that if you need info let me know.

I thought the lanes run at 16/16/8/4 ? But Will I be able to run the ati cards and the nvidia without any driver conflicts?

you can run 1 @ x16
2 @ x16x16
3 @ x16x8x8
4 @ x8x8x8x4

i was running 2 5870s and 1 9800gt. there were no driver errors or problems with my setup. head over to ngohq.com for all the stuff you need to run the physx hack 1.044 i think was the latest version

Ah... Thanks... Bummer that I can only run one card at x16, and the other two at only x8... Will running the second 6850 at x8 create a noticeable bottleneck? I've read an article comparing the fps on games when running cards in x16, x8, x4 and so on. Just can't remember where it was
