Ranting Folding prizes

So I was thinking of the prizes given out for the current contest and thought wow how ****y is someone putting up numbers like they did. I felt like someone is just working the system to get free stuff. So I was thinking what if one of the big folders on here where to make a new name and join the team and fold with a 300 ppd a day system then when the foldathon rolled around he switch a couple gpus to get extreme points. Wow he would get a prize then next month he switched a couple more gpus and bam extreme improvement points. Then When he started to run out of gpu he would just create a new name and do it all over again. Hmhm thats not cool but come on 3000% is nutts and just ***. So I was thinking maybe there should be something for people that give a 100% all the time not sure how we would go about this but I think someone should keep an eye on this. I would of loved to get a oc account but came short. I guess I am a sore loser and kinda bent out of shape but I am not the only one as looking at the impovement points a 200% or more increase is someone putting all there machine to max load on top of what they bring in every month to are team. I would like to see something given to the people that are paying there month bill and putting up tons of ### to get us higher to the #1 spot.

I had 3,325.58% because the last two times I wasn't doing -bidadv or GPU folding.

This system was only in place for the December Foldathon. And no-one knew about this until after the November Foldathon, so no-one could have really manipulated the system.

However, as in the case of Outcasst, come people made an upgrade after the last Foldathon and benefitted. He went from a mid-range 5 series GPU to a 5xx GPU, so his PPD skyrocketed.

I agree with you, but then I disagree.

I'm one of those "people". I mean, If you look at my stats at the start of this year vs. now. I was doing 58,742 on Jan 2010 and now I'm at 1,731,166 for Nov 2010.

I agree with you that this could be happening and it's not fair, but then you have more than 1 prize for during the foldathon. I really do feel you and I kinda felt the same way, but there are always more foldathons and that's the point. If you don't win this month, you could win next month.

I won and I think it's silly method, it just needs to be re-worked that's all. Like 1 minor detail is missing...
Though I am giving the prize back.

Just wanted the 4870 to bench/crunch on. >.<

I really don't need anything for a gift. I am here because this site helps me with my needs, everytime I have a question I can ask here and get one or two responses from a person that is smarter then me. Sorry if I come off sounding like an ass there. I was just saying, the only thing I would like is maybe an oc account as of right now I don't have the funds for an account I would still like to purchase an account because Hosting and bandwith is not cheap, I am guessing that this site pays maybe a 100 bucks a nonth or more so me and you can add messages about how we tweaked this or did that, I feel as a user of 2005 I need to pay this site money. I like this site I think the site works well for not being blobed by ads.
