Computer won't recognize connected camera

I use Windows 7 and my PC won't recognize the digital sony camcorder I have connected to it.

It's weird b/c if I go into device manager it will show up but if I then go to "My Computer" it won't show up. I have also installed the software that came with the camcorder that allows you to import files off of the device. For some reason though when I go to "file" and then select "import files" the only choice I have is to import from my dvd rom drive.

Any clue as to why I can't access this thing?

Did u install the drivers at the correct time? some video devices require the software to be installed before connecting the device to the pc.

I figured it out. I had to go to the disk management thing or whatever and change the drive letter. For some reason that fixed it right up.
