"Races" do not exist - Genetics has done away with it, and flushed away racial theory. We are all one species, and though there are some outward differences, the deviation from the average is miniscule, and our genome is consistent amongst various peoples. Our "differences" come down to a small variation in proportions and features, and a large variation in our culture - and very, very little to do with any genetic differences, other than the smallest. For instance, in examining a typical "race", the genetic variation turns out to be greater within that "race", than between them and other "races". Races are an outmoded idea when applied to Modern Man - and it is even questioned to whether or not Cro-Magnon Man was any different, next to their culture. (Even Neanderthal wouldn't look that out of place on the street - just a shortish but burly character that would fit in with the wrestling crowd.)

Ancient humans, on the other hand, were distinct sub-species, probably able to interbreed (as they were all Homo Sapiens) - but since humans tend to live in places that do not preserve evidence very well, like riversides and shorelines - we still do not have any idea of how many of these sub-species and variants existed in those times.

Interesting news indeed, it's always nice to learn more about our common history.

So 50 denisovians put out all those genes. So I guess when they migrated they picked up 50 guide/scouts and paid them with sex.

They were obviously Ancients. Now we just need the government to reveal the Stargate.

Or they were the entourage of a very powerful warlord - just like Attila the Hun and Ghengis Khan planted their seed everywhere. In that light, it would make sense since for some reason, Central Asia was the source of so many of these characters throughout history, who periodically swept out and did things because that was the way they did things.
