i found that with the V-RAM sinks... i can get my VRAM up to 2400Mhz (4800Mhz Effective)

Also i have never known my VRMs to get to hot....

but anyways...

I might buy some of the VRAM sinks and try them on my card. Best I can currently get stable is 2232 (4464).

I'm also stuck having to wait to install my 2nd AXP since the second 580 came DOA ;.;. I did make another tutorial though showing the temps and noise differences and will be putting that online probably tomorrow. In the meantime, have some photos























More to come once the second batch uploads. Ok there we go, finished overnight.

























The small indent faces the rightside of the heatsink. The guide was so small that I had to take a photo to ID that (as I had put mine on wrong).
























It's the first time I've ever modded a graphics card - I think it worked out pretty well

My thoughts are basically in the videos I'm putting up (part 5 is up, part 6 coming soon)... Basically stock is already pretty good but the AXP wins hands down!

If I just got a gtx 580, should I replace the TIM on the stock cooler only, especially since it's a relatively easy process, or jump straight to the Accelero Xtreme Plus?

how cool do you NEED it to be?
what are your temps right now?


I only replaced the TIM on it with MX-3 and my idle temps are around 26c, load around 65c. @ stock clocks.

Is IC Diamond paste good for replacement TIM on the stock cooler? Or does it scratch the gpu surface up?
