Asus Rampage Extreme III and i7 930 - Page 7

The full board block would be for cooling the motherboard's chipset and stuff like that. You just need a CPU block right now.

What makes my current setup a non-"true" loop? It looks like thermaltake screwed me because the only reason I bought this case is because of the "amazing" LCS that it was supposed to be equipped with!

What makes a new pump and radiator better if the block is the problem?
Would just buying this fix it:

Or do you think I need something more in the direction of this:

If you're willing to redo your whole watercooling system, frozencpu has some good kits. Otherwise make a new thread in the watercooling section so it's not randomly buried in here .

Thermaltake unfortunately makes very poor liquid cooling systems, and trys to get people to buy them without doing enough research.

No, there's a little more involved than just buying a few parts. Look at it this way: Thermaltake and other companies aren't the best with it because that's not their focus.

Ok, I will make a new topic but can you please tell me if the link I posted to Amazon are something good because I have a gift card to Amazon for over $500.

The reason why you are idling SUPER high is because you changed your blck to 175 but did not set a specific Vcore. By putting it on AUTO, you allowed your motherboard to scale the Vcore super high. At 3.8Ghz, start your Vcore at 1.25v and go down to last stable voltage. If you want to try 4.0, start at 1.35v and do the same.

i have both of these blocks and they work very well, use the most restrictive jet plate on the cpu block for best load temps! providing your pump can push it. flow may also be a problem if your adding in new blocks(mobo) as i doubt that pump would be very powerful think the temp thing could of very well been the seating, maybe put fresh thermal compound, and make if pretty firm
