That means he bumped before 24 hours (and he's double posted at least 4 times since the start of the thread). I'd like to see you prove me wrong and I'd like to know what you're gonna report me for. For being a douche or for helping him learn how to act on a forum? (I guess it isn't the second option after all this off topic chatting).
Besides, double and triple posting is against good forum manners. It's not like I'm the only one against it.

I also know everything about being subscribed to threads. You see, the only reason I'm here is because I've set the forum to auto subscribe to any thread I post in (you probably did that too). I've been here since the start of 2010, of course I know how subscribing works.

I, too, love OCN. That's why I help keep it clean.

BTW nice tip on hovering the mouse over the time a post was posted

So then read my post again. He wasn't double posting because of how far apart the posts were (but that's really not the only reason why). If he had not posted those 2 additional posts, but instead just edited that first post out of the three, then the thread would not have been bumped. And I already explained the importance of bumping a thread in order to cause everyone to see what you're posting! Merely editing a post doesn't bump a thread.

So? Why does it matter to you? I already explained why there was absolutely nothing wrong with it! Plus, it's not like all he did was post the word "bump". If he had, then I guess it would be a slightly different story. But even if that were the case, all we can do is report stuff and move on. If we do what you're doing, then we only end up stirring up trouble which is exactly what you did. If you don't see it, then I will never be able to help you.

So? Is this your message board or something? Why does it matter to you?

I already did in my previous post. Perhaps you can read it again! But this time, keep an open mind!

I explained this already. Next time, just let it go or just report it and move on. Doing what you're doing doesn't accomplish anything positive (which should be extremely obvious right now, hence why I am on your case about it).

Oh, so is it your responsibility now? You see, this is exactly why it's superior to just report and move on. Let the moderators make this decision! After all, that's their job right?

There is no official rule that says we cannot do it. Besides, he wasn't double or triple posting. Do I really need to involve a moderator to prove it? Good grief! I will if that's what you really want.

I was just giving you the same kind of attitude just so you can understand the way you are coming across. It's best to just leave people alone. And when you think someone has done something wrong, then report their post and do not reply or respond to what you see. Just let the staff do it!

The best way to help keep it clean is to report stuff you see and then let the staff do their job. We aren't here to do the very thing you are trying to do. After all, mistakes can be made (such as the one you made because you're wrong; he didn't double/triple post).

Plus, this isn't your message board nor is it mine. Do you ever see me coming down on someone because they double or triple-posted? You don't because when I see it, I report it and then participate in the thread as though there is nothing wrong. It's not our responsibility to take care of it.

I use it in many different ways. I've even been known to use it to help me figure out whether or not I am justified to report a post.

But seriously: it's better to just report and move on as though nothing is wrong. That way, there's less trash for the mods to clean up (such as the first post where you came down on him because you think he double/triple posted. Its like, who do you think you are? Good intentions or not, just ignore it and report it! That way, the staff can make the judgment call, which is why they are here).

By the way, can you see how stupid this is? If you hadn't said anything in the first place, then there wouldn't be any problem at all. All you had to do was report the posts of his that you felt were a problem. But instead, you came down on him like some kind of moderator and now this thread is ruined (or as you aptly put: it's a mess). So don't nit-pick these stupid small details! By doing that, you look like you're missing the entire point of the thread even though you probably aren't. Sigh...

So let me ask you this: did you see me say anything about him double or triple posting? No! Why do you think that is? Do you think I didn't see it? I saw each occurrence of it! But why should I bring it up? What will it accomplish? It's not like he did it on purpose each of those times!!
