Oh what a horrible time! My desktop is out for two weeks.

With an injury to the GPU (Asus HD 5770).

I'm in the process of my first RMA, because the card makes horrible static sounds through my headphoans when I move my mouse, and also buzzes annoyingly when I run 3D applications. That's a valid reason to RMA, right?

Well anyway my motherboard (GIGASUCK x58a-ud3r) doesn't have any onboard VGA ports, and I have no extra graphics card so, it's out until I get a card back.

I HATE LAPTOPS

I put up with it for 6 months too, hehe.

Should have muted your audio sources. This is a known common failure with phone input's with phone jack supported hardware/software.

Mute Phone-in = No more mouse static.

I don't understand. There were no phone jacks on my GPU.

LOL that's sig worthy. He means mute input under playback devices. Gigasuck huh? The ud3r is one of the best i7 boards available, and that's price not being a factor.

YES SIR. I've actually stuck that card into TWO different mobos and hooked it up to TWO different PSUs. I promise you the GPU is the problem.

NOT NORMAL. I had an 8800GT that never made one electrical beep. Oh how I miss it.

Oh yeah. I played around with dozens of sound settings, and I actually found a configuration that worked that involved three different sound devices and a whole bunch of things plugged into a whole bunch of other things, and a whole bunch of volume controls turned to precise volume levels. It was ridiculous.

But the fact is, when I had my 8800GT in my computer instead of that 5770. It was flawless. So I'm tellin' you man, that 5770 ain't right. I hope to get a new one. Then I can sell it and go back to nvidia where I belong.

Yes I'm mad at my ud3r because it doesn't have onboard VGA, otherwise it's lovely.
