Reason I'm asking is because I've had another GTX 470 before and it gave me the same kinda problems.
This is my second GTX 470 from SCAN and I mean.. Are the chances high that they just have a bad batch of the cards or is it linked to other components in my system?

It could be so many different things, I just don't know what to think.

Return it as defective.

Is SCAN a local shop? If so have them test it in front of you so you'll know if it really was the card or your system.

I got my second card from Newegg and it has done games and benchmarks at 915 core with the memory maxed out (on cold air).

Definitely try Furmark and Vantage

or if you want to, just do a 2-4 hours gaming session.

One thing about OCCT is that it put the utmost stress on the GPU that no other games or programs can do right now.

It is a shop, but it's not local at all.
The only way for me to get a GTX 470 was to order on-line.

I would like them to do that, and that's lucky man. All I know is luck, me and computer hardware don't go well together.

They also sent me this unit sorta opened up?
Like no wrapping round the ASUS box which It had round my older Power Color HD 5850, PCS+.. Both the GTX 470's hadn't any wrapping round it indicating to me that it has been opened up before and used?
