oh the misinformation in this thread...

This is worse than /k/, lol

Quick correction:
AK74: 5.45x39mm
AK47/AKM: 7.62x39mm
AR15/M16: 5.56x45mm/.223(wylde chamber)
Dragunov, Mosin Nagant, PSL, PKM, etc: 7.62x54mmR

Saiga and other companies make Kalashnikov-pattern weapons in other calibers as well, such as: 5.56x45mm/.223, 7.62x51mm/.308, 7.62x54mmR, 7.92x57mm(8mm mauser), .410 shotshell, 20ga shotshell, 12ga shotshell, just to name a few.

I would vote for the Lian Li simply because it is a realistic purchase. I highly doubt you will find yourself an "AK-47" for $500. The tax stamp alone can be $300 or more. You may find a rifle with the same styling and cartridge, but if you really have a fully automatic rifle available for $500 you wouldn't be debating the decision.

You don't have to get a tax stamp on a semi-auto AK-47.. And you can certainly find them for cheaper than $500!
