I voted for the AK-47 but I think you should really get the Mossberg Tactical shotgun. You never know when invaders will cross our borders!

The gun is certainly holding a COMMANDING lead over the case.

If you don't already have one, I would consider getting a GLOCK pistol. A GLOCK 23 is an excellent all-around compact .40cal that can be adapted to .357SIG (excellent penetration) and 9mm (cheaper ammo) with only barrel and magazine swaps. You said you already have an AK, which is why I make that recommendation.

really? unless you are active duty and need your pistol to be able to fire if you get into harsh situations (like search & rescue in swamps) a glock is a POS. Sure its tough, and but it doesn't shoot nearly as well as others, kicks with way less consistency, and is generally limited by its design. Oh and polymer is butt f%^kin ugly on a handgun

If you want a handgun that shoots great, looks great, will hold value, and be a general BAMF... Look at KImber, Dan Wesson, or Springfield Armory... Or go OG and look at older colts.

Glocks are for people who need the reliability, and unless you are boarder patrol etc. there are WAAAYYYY better options... For example, the USA pistol team uses Kimber 1911's. Those are about the exact opposite of a glock...

Hell u can get a Deagle .50 under a grand now days... F&*k glocks and anyone with the to suggest one to anyone who isn't active duty.

Just save for an Ar15 or even better, a sig556.
You already have an ak, get something that's 5.56.. sure it's more expensive but it is getting cheaper.

Really the only people I ever hear trashing Glocks are .45 enthusiasts or those who just can't handle anything that isn't steel and walnut (going back to the 1911). For me, modularity, function and reliability absolutely trump looks.. To me, the multiple external safeties of the 1911 design are redundant and clumsy. Plus, I grew up in the U.S. home of Glock (Smyrna, GA), so I kinda grew up hearing about the legend. My first gun was a Glock 17.

Biased? Sure. Impressed? Definitely!

Having said that, I would like to get a centennial 1911 sometime soon. Preferably a Kimber.
