How to install Physix card?

Thread Starter
Sorry guys but I couldnt find a simple guide to this. This 580 and 450 are my first Nvidia cards for over 5 years so bare with me.

How do I properly install my 450 as a Physix card? Do I need to install separate drivers and just install the display & phsyix components? Is there anything else I need to make it work as a physix card instead of the 580 working?

You place the 450 in the PCI-E slot then you....j/k.

NVIDIA Control Panel - 3d Settings - Set Physx Configuration
Select the 450 and you are good to go.

You configure the PhysX card in Nvidia Control Panel. Select the 450 as the PhysX card.

Is your GTS 450 installed in your computer yet?

Open GPU-Z and check if the 450 is even showing up. Looks like you might need a clean install of drivers.

Yea do a clean install of the drivers, and make sure you pick drivers that are 450 compatible. I saw a few beta drivers that only worked for the 580 so you may have to look around.

boot into safe mode, run driver sweeper, uninstall all the nvidia stuff, reboot in normal, install the drivers again, reboot, go back to the nv cp and it should be there.

LiLChris is probably right about beta drivers, try just using 260.99

Try installing your drivers over again. Check the clean install option when installing the drivers.

Your 450 is not automatically installing drivers for some reason.
