RAM issues - Page 3

Dual channel + single channel interleaved. The single channel DIMM negates all the advantage of the dual channel DIMM.

I think I'll try to RMA for money. I'm sure ADATA is a good brand, but for whatever reason they aren't liking me, and this is going on my 3rd RMA.

If I can get money back I'm thinking about getting these G Skills. Are there any cons to them? Do you think I can do four of them?

They should work well but are out of stock; additionally 1800 9-9-9 is really not worth it for $90. 1600 at CAS6-7 will perform equally or better for a lower price. Try 4 of the G.Skill Ripjaws 1600 7-8-7, they should work excellent with AMD platforms and with 4 DIMM's on a 1055T you shouldn't have an issue.

Those look nice. They say that they're designed specifically for Intel. Will they be ok with my AMD?

Ram is Ram. That is a marketing thing. You will be fine. If you look up G.Skill ECOs you will see the samething design for Intel. Then look at sig rig.

That's what I thought, but would just make sure.

So I was looking around at some other RAM and was hoping to get some input.

Go with XDs recommendation 1600 cl7 is good. I went with 2000 because i like messing around with speeds/timings and while 2000 can do 1600, 1600 cant necessarily do 2000

Hey everyone!

Sorry to bring up a 3 week old topic, but I just wanted to post some results I've had with this RAM and possibly a conclusion (in case someone else has the same problem).

So this past Sunday I decided to try and get all four sticks of RAM to work. I hadn't heard from ADATA at all and thought it wouldn't hurt. I decided to start with setting the voltage from auto to 1.65v. Ran memtest 86+ and it passed. Ran it for 10 hours stopped it and ran it for another 10 hours. ALL PASSED. With voltage of 1.65v @ 1600. Needless to say I'm flabbergasted at this. I could have sworn I did this originally and it failed. I guess being at this for as long as I have I forget what's been done and what hasn't.

Ironically the next day (Monday) I got a reply from ADATA with some suggestions. One of them was I guess my mobo for 1600 with ADATA RAM wants at least 1.65v.

An image they sent me

So now I'm running Prime95. Started it before leaving for work and it should have around 6+ hours on that. As long as that still works I'm pretty convinced everything works.

SO yeah just an update, and hopefully if anyone else runs into an issue like this it can help them.

Thanks again for the help all!
