I'm about to get a second 465. However, i lost my original sli bridge. I know that sli can work without the bridge, but performance will be reduced. On one thread I noticed that the individual only experienced a 1.6% drop for his 9600 gts. However, because the 465 is a much more powerful card and requires more bandwidth from the pci express lane, i expect performance drops to be much more significant . Furthermore, my motherboard only supports pcie 1.0 (less bandwidth compared to pcie 2.0), which i expect to add to this bottleneck. Is it important for me to get a new sli bridge? how much will performance be impacted if i don't use an sli bridge? Thank you.
