Except for, oh, maybe the CX430 with the two year warranty and components that couldn't do 430W no matter what. And all their other dozens of units with 3-5 year warranties, and the lower build quality of the PSHII units they're replacing the VX/TX series with.

Im going to have to say Seasonic, Antec, Enermax and Silverstone for my top tier.
After using and reading reviews of newer corsair units I dont recommend them anymore.
They seem to be taking the high quality Seasonic units they get and either watering them down or outright crapping up other units.
New Higher end corsair stuff is about the same as the last 2 generations of their high end stuff. And thats on a good day, its certainly not better than their older stuff by any means.
They really are moving sideways instead of making things better.

So yeah, Seasonic, Antec, Enermax and (Most)Silverstones are my top tier.
Antec takes the cake for Price/Performance without sacrificing quality.
Seasonic takes the cake for quality.

Cougar makes pretty decent PSU's

they are on my list for recommendations behind quite a few others though.

Honestly, even despite Corsair's excellent customer service and the high-end units they recently came out with, because of the very dodgy moves they made in releasing the recent CX units, I'm totally boycotting them. **** the 7-year warranty on the AX750, I'd rather get the (identical) SeaSonic X750 straight from its actual manufacturer with a 5-year warranty than support Corsair.

Don't forget ABS. Their power supplies are all top notch.

Not all. The only one really worth mentioning was the SL1050, which was a rebranded Enermax Galaxy 1050W sold for half the price. Otherwise... Well, the ABS 1100W was an overrated 900W unit.

Meh... ABS is just a Newegg brand like Rosewill and they don't make any PSUs. Their Majesty and Dark Beret series aren't really impressive. The SL series was great because they were heavily discounted Enermax Revolution85+ units, but good luck finding them now.

I would strikeout some of these models as people come to a consensus, but the simple <S>strikeout</S> tags don't work. Is there a way cross out or strike out text here on OCN?

Are you sure you don't mean the DB1000?

Yea, I'm aware they are rebranded units.

I'm comparing these PSU's to competing Corsair or Antec units, the ABS units seem to come out on top efficiency wise.

The tags are [ s ] and [ /s ] (without the spaces), not <s> and </s>.
